We look for opportunities to use appropriate surplus food ingredients that can be safely redirected into dog products. Surplus can happen for many reasons, including excess inventory, cosmetic standards, or supply-chain inefficiencies.
Turning ingredients into useful pet products
Our approach is not to add a sustainability label after the fact. We design products with the intended use in mind—whether that is a meal, topper, treat, or snack—and focus on clear ingredients and practical feeding guidance.
Human-grade positioning and responsible use
Dog & Whistle focuses on food ingredients that fit our quality and safety standards while finding productive uses for ingredients that might otherwise go unused. Sustainability only matters if the resulting product is also safe, useful, and appropriate for pets.
Being specific matters
Broad claims such as “green” or “zero impact” can hide more than they explain. We would rather describe the choices we are making—such as redirecting suitable surplus ingredients and reducing avoidable food waste—and keep improving as the business grows.
